It is a unique and comprehensive program designed to equip professionals with the critical knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently manage pre-hospital emergency care. It bridges clinical expertise with managerial and technical competencies, focusing on emerging challenges in emergency medical services (EMS).
It is a first-of-its-kind program launched by IIHMR Bangalore and RED Health, bringing their expertise together as a premier healthcare education university and India’s largest and only JCI-accredited EMS company, respectively. Globally, such programs are offered by universities like Harvard University and the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, UK, but there are still no parallel programs in the global south that prepare EMS professionals for leadership roles.
